Competition aims:
- Show orienteering as sport which is freely available for any gender and age;
- To identify the fastest orienteerists in 6 age groups.
Competition type
Indoor orienteering course which corresponds to traditional shortened sprint orienteering course.
Competition program:
1st stage (Monday) – 31.10 Riga fashion and entertainment center “Rīga Plaza” (Mūkusalas iela 71)
2nd stage – 12.11 (Saturday) National Library of Latvia (Mūkusalas iela 3)
3rd stage -23.11 (Wednesday) Rīga Natālija Draudziņa Secondary School
4th stage – 26.11 (Saturday) – Rīga Indoor Orienteering competition

5th stage – 03.12 (Saturday) University of Latvia academic center “Torņkalns” (Jelgavas iela 1)

Precise completion start times will be published two weeks before each stage. In weekdays stages will take place in afternoon, but in weekend s in the noon.

Classes
S16 | Girls. Born in 2000 or younger. |
S21 | Women. Open class without age restriction. |
S40 | Women. Born in 1976 or older. |
V16 | Boys. Born in 2000 or younger. |
V21 | Men. Open class without age restriction. |
V40 | Men. Born in 1976 or older. |
Applications
Application can be made using LOF.LV system.
Deadline for each round – two 2days before (10:00).
After application deadline participants can register in competition day, however organizers do not guarantee that there is sufficient number of maps available. Organizers invite participants to apply earlier in order to prepare enough maps.
Maximum number of competitors – 400 per round.
Entry fee
S16 and V16 – 2,50 EUR
RTU, LU students* – 2,50 EUR
Others – 5,00 EUR
Participation in 2nd stage National Library of Latvia – for free (application has to be made before in order to ensure that enough quantity of maps are prepared).
*Students from RTU, LU must indicate their university ID card number in application. The student ID card stated in application must be represented at the registration desk.
Please apply for competition timely! When register on competition days, higher entry fees will be applied accordingly 4 EUR (instead of 2.5 EUR). and 8 EUR (instead of 5 EUR).
If participant register for all competitions (except National Library stage)at once 20% discount from entry fee is given. That is accordingly 10 or 20 EUR per person. To receive discount, entry fee has to be transferred to Latvian Orienteering federation account by 28th October.
Sport Ident chip hire – for free
Entry fee can be transferred in advance to Latvian Orienteering Federation bank account. The participant’s name and the league round for which payment is made must be indicated in payment details. In case of misunderstandings get in touch via e-mail: lof@lof.lv

Registration
Arriving in competition center, participant goes to registration desk, pays entry fee and receives competitor number.
Start
Before start competitors are allowed to stay in places indicated by organizers, not interrupting other participants. It is not allowed to get acquainted with courses before start. Please respect fair play principles!
Participants
Competitors have to run two distances in each round in any convenient time (indicated in additional information).
Courses
Controls has to be punched by the order shown on the map (with a line of connected checkpoints / example)
Approximate winner time in each course about 10-15 minutes.
Finish
After punching all controls, Sport Ident card must be read to register the result.
Evaluation and prize giving
In every round in each class the winner becomes competitor which course results sum is the lowest. In every round first places in all age groups are awarded.
In overall standing the first three places in each age group are awarded. To qualify for overall standings, competitor must participate at least four stages of the league.
Group overall results are calculated by taking three best result points of athlete shown in indoor-o league. Each group winner receives 1000 points. Points for next places are calculated by dividing winner time with time shown by other place.
Additional information
- It is forbidden to run in street and athletics or orienteering shoes with studs. It is recommended to use shoes with flat sole.
- The rooms are heated. There will be access to toilets in event centers.
- Warm-up run can take place outside the building.
- The participants themselves are responsible for their health. For children health state is responsible parents, coaches or persons who accompany the children. Organizers are not liable for any injury obtained in competition time.
- Please be very careful when running in staircases. Negligence can cause serious injuries.
Maps
In competition terrain there will be located labyrinths made from tapes. It is forbidden to jump/climb over tapes. Organizers keep rights to disqualify participants, which will be caught violating this rule.
Punching
Sport Ident electronic punching system will be used. Competitors who have received Sport Ident card in registration desk have to return SI chip after taken second race. In case of lost SI card, competitor pays 50 EUR to organizers.

Competion is organized by O!Latvija, Latvian Orienteering federation together with Riga City Council Education, Culture and Sports Department, National Library of Latvia, Fashion and entertainment center “Rīga Plaza”, National Library of Latvia and student councils (RTU Student parliament, and LU ĢZZF student council)
